Melbourne’s 2019 Market Insight and Predictions

February 28, 2019

Confidence, Agility and Diversity

Confidence remains the number one defining factor for our economy.

In a recent SMB (small to medium business) index undertaken by Sensis, it was found that the most confident sector in the last quarter of 2018 was hospitality. Further, it was reported that overall confidence levels were at their highest recorded level since December 2009, with Victoria claiming top spot due to certainty delivered post-election.

Retail remained the least confident sector. The report also found SMBs access to finance continues to decrease to its lowest since 2013.
The ‘Agile Revolution’ is becoming increasingly attractive to employers in certain sectors and many consider that it is only a matter of time before it is adopted by others. There is a need for investors to write the narrative of appetite for this flexible space across the Asia Pacific. Investors are approaching market shifts more strategically and rebalancing portfolios to reflect the increasing demand for agile space.

The diversity of tenancy mix, along with value-added service define these investment philosophies. Understanding the way we transact is ever changing, as well as our ambition to be agile and at forefront of innovation and technology.

In 2019 we are introducing online auction bidding – adding significant value to both our vendors and their purchasers.
